REMI Production: How We Run Remote Events

What started as a proof of concept is now a reality. In this video, we demonstrate our REMI (Remote Integration) solution live — switching a full production at the Riverhouse in Bend, Oregon, while our team is physically located in Hermiston. You can see the multi-view screen from the venue in real time as we control the switcher remotely, manage slides, and coordinate with an on-site operator handling PTZ cameras and audio.

This isn’t a demo. This is a live event, happening as you watch.

3 Key Takeaways

1. REMI Is No Longer a Proof of Concept

We’ve moved past testing. REMI is now a production-ready solution we’re actively deploying for clients — managing live event switching from a completely separate location in real time. It’s one of the tools that makes strategic planning conversations especially exciting — because once clients understand what’s possible, it opens up entirely new ways to think about their events.

2. Full Switcher Control, Anywhere

From changing slides to cutting between cameras, we have complete control of the on-site production switcher from a remote location. If PTZ camera control is needed, we have that capability too — though in this case our on-site operator handled cameras and audio.

3. The Best of Both Worlds

REMI doesn’t mean no crew on site. It means the right crew, in the right place. A lean on-site presence handles what needs to be physical, while our remote team handles production — reducing travel costs without sacrificing quality or control. Pair this with a solid livestream setup and you have a powerful, cost-effective production solution for almost any event.
